Art Glass Solutions Pte Ltd, formed in January 2008, is an entrepreneurial glass art and design business based in Singapore.

The company strives to create high quality artworks with a contemporary and empathic aesthetic which is derived from a deep understanding of glass as a material, visual art and design history as well as culture.

Our projects range from large sculptural installations for public and commercial clients to unique items for private clients and exhibitions (see our CV below). We operate an education and outreach program and are slowly establishing art glass studio facilities in Singapore.

Our core aims are:

• To make quality artworks for commercial applications, installations and projects. Undertake large and small projects for interior designers, architects, private clients and corporate bodies by handling concept development, design, fabrication and installation.
• To operate a professional hot glass and access studios to provide samples for commercial projects as well as to offer access to glass studio facilities for educational programs and tourism opportunities. The studios will comprise of kiln workshops, lampworking and cold working facilities, with the addition of a hot glass making studio in the near future.
• To nurture a research and development environment that encourages creativity, innovation and experimentation and that supports and develops the commercial activities. The R&D environment supports and is enchanced by an ‘Artists in Residence’ program. Equipment and facilities are available for hire to artists and for various events.

Art Glass Solutions is founded by three artists, B. Jane Cowie, Creative Director (Australia), B. Gopinath, Coordinator of Research and Development and Production (India) and Dominic Fondé, Educational and Outreach Co-ordinator (UK). Together they bring a vast range of experience, expertise, creativity, skill and international reputations for making quality glass art.

Singapore was chosen as the location for the new business due to its excellent location in South East Asia which offers access to growing markets in China, the Philippines, India, Dubai and Australia. Singapore itself is a vibrant multicultural place where an artist can interact and take inspiration from people of diverse ethnic backgrounds. Already Art Glass Solutions has made friends within the local artistic community and contacts with a large range of suppliers and manufactures that will work with the artists to create the artworks. Our educational program is focused on nurturing local talent and ideas to create a community of bright ambitious Singapore-based glass artists.
