Palimpsest

Palimpsest featured 12 artists all born or based in Singapore who explored the process of collaborative working relationships between artists.  The exhibition:-

…develops an open dialogue between artists conceptually and technically, engendering links between resident and expatriate artists who live and work in Singapore.

A Palimpsest is a manuscript written over a partly erased older manuscript in such a way that the old words can be read beneath the new… The exhibition was curated by Dominic Fondé for Art Glass Solutions featured the artists Chris Yap, Ng Siok Hoon, Anita Nevins, Michelle Zheng, Noriko Suzuki-Bosco, April Ng, B. Jane Cowie, Sunny Chyun, Richard Lim, Chua Teng Yeow, Dominic Fondé and Joshua Yang.

The exhibition opened a dialogue between artists conceptually and technically, and engendered links between resident and expatriate artists living and working in Singapore. The project additionally provided artists with the opportunity to experiment with glass as an artist’s material within the Art Glass Solutions studios in Singapore.

The exhibition was held at Sculpture Square, Singapore, November 2009.
